Allstars

This year, we proudly hosted our AllStars 3 Day Boys Camp at West Lowndes Elementary for 4th to 6th grade boys, and it was a tremendous success. Over three exciting days, the camp was filled with energy, hands on learning, mentorship, and meaningful experiences designed to inspire and engage the young boys in our community. From start to finish, the goal was to create an environment where they felt encouraged to grow as leaders, teammates, and confident young men.

We kicked off the camp with an inspiring visit from Brandon Walker, a basketball player at Mississippi State University, who shared his personal journey and reminded the boys that pursuing their goals takes dedication, discipline, and heart. His message set the tone for the days ahead. To celebrate a strong first day, Kona Ice treated the boys to sno cones, adding a fun and memorable finish that everyone enjoyed. The second day brought an incredible opportunity to learn from service members representing multiple departments of the United States Air Force, including RAPCON, Tower, Security Forces, COMM, and Firefighters. Through interactive activities and engaging conversations, the boys explored teamwork, problem solving, and creativity while gaining a deeper understanding of service and responsibility. Watching them ask questions, participate fully, and connect with these leaders was a powerful reminder of how impactful real world exposure can be.

On the final day, the energy continued with exciting field day games that encouraged teamwork and friendly competition. The boys also experienced a science experiment known as elephant toothpaste, which sparked curiosity, laughter, and wide eyed excitement. We concluded the camp with a pizza party generously sponsored by Crown and Gavel, celebrating the boys’ engagement, growth, and enthusiasm throughout the week.

The success of AllStars would not have been possible without our dedicated committee members, generous guest speakers, community partners, and the support of West Lowndes Elementary. Most inspiring of all was seeing the boys build friendships, step confidently into leadership moments, encourage one another, and leave with a stronger and more positive mindset. AllStars was more than just three days of activities. It was an opportunity to invest in young leaders and pour encouragement into the next generation.
